Charles L. Stewart
- President/Chief Executive Officer
Charles Stewart serves as President and CEO. Mr. Stewart has over 15 years of extensive experience at the Chief Executive Officer level in hospital administration, including strategic planning and operations, medical staff relations, employee and community relations. Prior to joining Hutcheson in September 2005, Mr. Stewart served as a hospital administrator and system executive vice president for the DCH Health System, a 1000 bed non-profit, integrated health system comprised of 4 hospitals with gross revenues of $1 billion. Mr. Stewart holds his Masters of Science degree in Hospital and Health Administration and his Masters of Arts degree in Education and Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Education from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. He received the American College of Healthcare Executive Regent’s award as the 2005 Senior Healthcare Executive for the Alabama Chapter.
Gerald Faircloth
- Vice President of Operations
Mr. Gerald Faircloth is the Vice President of Operations at Hutcheson. Mr. Faircloth has over 26 years of health care experience with 24 years of service at management and administration levels, including serving as Chief Financial Officer and interim Chief Executive Officer at a hospital in Canton, Georgia. In addition, he has served as Chief Operating Officer for a hospital in Pasadena, Texas and as Chief Operating Officer for a national anesthesia management practice company. Graduating from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting, Mr. Faircloth has served in various capacities within the field of health care including accounting, finance, planning and administration. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is Board Certified in Healthcare Management.
Doug Volinski
- Chief Financial Officer
Doug Volinski is a certified public accountant with more than twenty-one years of experience in the healthcare industry. His wide array of experience includes senior-level management positions with healthcare providers, as well as some of the nation's most respected accounting and consulting firms. He also served as Vice President of Finance and had administrative oversight of the financial accountability for two hospitals in Texas. Mr. Volinski earned his undergraduate degree in accounting at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and received his CPA certification through the State of Michigan. He is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and Hospital Financial Management Association.
Carol L. Courtney
- Chief Quality Officer
Carol L. Courtney serves as Chief Quality Officer at Hutcheson. The position is responsible for overseeing Hutcheson's effort of providing care to its patients that meet or exceed regional and national benchmarks for quality. Ms. Courtney received her Masters of Science degree in nursing from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and her Bachelors of Science degree in nursing at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Her civic and professional affiliations include membership in the American Health Information Management Association; National Association for Healthcare Quality; and International Association of Healthcare Survey Coordinators. Ms. Courtney is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
Jeffrey N. Woodard
- Corporate Compliance Officer
Jeffrey N. Woodard serves as Hutcheson's Corporate Compliance Officer and Director of Risk Management. Mr. Woodard began his service with Hutcheson in 2006. Prior to joining Hutcheson, he served as an associate of a law firm in Dalton, Georgia where he focused on general, civil practice in the area of litigation with an emphasis on commercial litigation, worker's compensation and insurance defense. Mr. Woodard earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens, Georgia where he graduated Cum Laude. He earned his undergraduate degree from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. His civic and professional affiliations include membership in the State Bar of Georgia; District Court for the Northern District of Georgia; Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals; and Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court.
Eric Garrard
- Vice President of Outreach and Sub-acute Services
Eric Garrard serves as Hutcheson's Vice President of Outreach and Sub-acute services. He began his career with Hutcheson in April, 2007. Prior to joining Hutcheson, Mr. Garrard served three years as Assistant Chief Executive Officer at Southside Regional Medical Center, a 408-bed hospital located in Petersburg, Virginia and South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, a 112-bed hospital in Foley, Alabama. He also has twelve years of extensive experience in outpatient and ambulatory healthcare, managing physician practices as well as surgery, imaging, and rehabilitation centers. Eric holds a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama.
Debbie Reeves
- Chief Nursing Office and Vice President of Patient Care
Mrs. Debbie E. Reeves serves as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care. Mrs. Reeves previously worked in the Atlanta area as the Vice President of Surgery and Service Line Executive overseeing Cardiac, Ortho and Surgery. She also held a position of Chief Executive Nursing Officer for a hospital in the Chattanooga area, and has served as a national surveyor for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
Mrs. Reeves earned her Masters Degree from St. Francis College and her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Southern College. She holds a certification in the National Nursing Administration and Operating Room Nursing. As a participant in many professional organizations throughout her career, Mrs. Reeves is currently an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Tennessee and Georgia Organization of Nursing Executives.
