Parkside and SubAcute Unit

Parkside at Hutcheson is a 109 bed skilled nursing facility serving the 24-hour nursing and rehab needs of the region. This facility is on the west side of the Hutcheson Campus and adjacent to the Chickamauga National Military Park, in a shaded residential community.

The staff of highly qualified individuals focus on a course of care determined by the patient, clinical staff, and attending physician, whether for short term rehab or long term nursing care. Care is delivered by an interdisciplinary team: licensed and registered nurses, therapists, certified professionals.

SubAcute Unit: Short Term Rehab and Skilled Nursing Unit

For patients needing an inpatient stay of 20 days or less, the SubAcute Unit partners along with Parkside in this effort. The SubAcute unit, consisting of 16 beds is located on the third floor of the main Hutcheson campus. This unit serves patients with rehab needs and skilled nursing care following an acute hospital stay.

SubAcute Unit and Parkside provide a caring, healing environment and involve in and commit to Advancing Excellence, a nationwide campaign to improve quality for patients and staff and are accredited by The Joint Commission. Hutcheson and the SubAcute Unit are accredited by The Joint Commission.

Rehabilitation services provide a range of options from improved participation in the activities of daily living including:
